The Indian cricket team will participate in a five-Test series on English soil from Wednesday. With the first Test set to begin at 3 pm IST today in Nottingham, the current Indian cricket captain is at the threshold of breaking a record within these five-Test series.

If the Indian team wins another Test match, Virat Kohli will emerge as the fourth most successful captain. In that respect, he surpasses West Indies giant Clive Lloyd. Currently, Virat Kohli is the most successful captain on par with Lloyd. Clive Lloyd, as the captain of West Indies, won 36 Tests in his career.

While Virat Kohli is currently on par with him, if Team India wins another match, he will overtake Clive Lloyd. Consequently, Virat Kohli will transition into as the fourth most successful captain in the history of Test cricket. Former South Africa captain Greame Smith tops the list with 53 Test wins. Former Australian captain Ricky Potting stands at the second spot with 48 Test victories, followed by former Australia captain Steve Waugh with 41 Test victories at the third spot. Kohli currently leads Team India with 36 Test wins under his captaincy and stands at the fourth spot with Clive Lloyd.
