England’s government has announced good news to Team India, which is visiting England. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has relaxed strict quarantine rules on English soil. BCCI has reduced the 10-day hard quarantine to only 3 days with talks. Men and women's teams can practice from the fourth day. It is learnt that the family members of the cricketers are also going to England as it is a long tour. However, the families will have a ten-day strict quarantine.
Currently, Indian men’s team, women's teams and their families are in quarantine in Mumbai. On June 2, the two teams will fly to Britain on the same charter flight. Indian men’s team will land directly in Southampton and would be quarantined in hotels there, while the Indian women's team will go to Bristol and stay true to local quarantine. England and New Zealand's two-Test series will take place at the same time. It is believed that New Zealand members and Team India cricketers would be in the same hotels.
The Indian women's team will compete in the only Test against England on June 16. Then the team will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. On the other hand, from June 18-22, India will compete in the World Test Championship finals against New Zealand. From August 4 to September 14, the five-Test series against England will be played.
