The dilemma over the India-Sri Lanka ODI series is over. All Sri Lankan players tested negative in the latest Covid Tests. Now, the series will take place as usual. It includes senior players like Kushar Pereira, Chamira and Dhananjaya de Silva. The Lankan board has breathed a sigh of relief at the news. Batting coach Grant Flower, along with data analyst Niroshan, and another player in the Sri Lankan team, who recently returned home after the series in England, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection. It is for this reason that changes have been made in the series scheduled with India. The ODIs will be played on July 18, 20 and 23. The T20 series will start on July 25, the Lankan board said.

It is also revealed that if all goes well, players from the UK will come out of tough quarantine‌. However, the corona tests would be done every three to five days as per regulations. Grant flower, who turned out to be positive, stated that Niroshan's health was stable. Lanka Board sources said that they were kept in isolation as per the regulations and were being treated. Now, that both of them are asymptomatic and will soon end the isolation. The Lankan board is hopeful that there would be no setbacks ahead of the ODI series against Team India starting 18th of this month.

Team India in Lanka, on the other hand, is busy practicing. It has already split into two teams and is playing practice matches. While Dhawan is leading the Indian team in this tour, Dravid is the team’s coach. The BCCI organized this tour with the intention of delivering real-action to the young players before the T20 World Cup.
