The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team has signed right-arm pace bowler Akash Deep for the Indian Premier League UAE's leg, which begins on September 19, 2021. Akash Deep will replace Washington Sundar in the starting lineup.
Sundar now cannot play because of a finger injury. Sundar suffered the injury in a warm-up match before the England-India Test series. He has not fully recovered from his injury and has been ruled out of the rest of the IPL 2021 season.
“Royal Challengers Bangalore’s all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL 2021 because of a finger injury. Akash Deep, a state cricketer from Bengal and net bowler with the franchise, has been named as a replacement,” read the statement released by RCB.
