The country's highest scientific organization ISRO Completes 50 historic years today. Surprisingly SRO started with humble beginnings like the introduction of low-weight satellites into space now is a powerhouse of the largest fleet of remote sensing satellites in across the globe. 

It's Sullurpet (Nellore): On 21st November 1963, at 18:25 IST that the American made Nike-Apache rocket was launched from Thumba in Kerala, the first-ever rocket to be launched from Indian soil for scientific objectives.  

And the journey comes a long way. The Indian Space Research Organisation turns 50-year-old this year. And it's counting the achievements every year one by one proving India's scientific prowess. ISRO is the Indian symbol of pride and aspiration in science and technology.
